Granada is a city located in the western part of Nicaragua. Known to be the sixth city in terms of population in Nicaragua, it is identified as one of the most important cities of Nicaragua. The city has a colonial heritage that dates back decades and is evident in the different architectural landmarks around the city.
The indigenous population of the city date back to 1524. It is known to be one of the first European cities to have formed on the mainland of America. It was not merely a settlement of the Spanish people, but was registered officially as belonging to the Kingdom of Castille of Spain. The city is also called La Gran Sultana. The city showcases historical links to Andalusian and Moorish backgrounds. The city has an ancient Spanish heritage that is evident in many ways and the history of the city is rich with Moorish traditions as well as the Spanish Granada royal history.
The city has rich natural landscapes for visitors to discover. These comprise of the Apoyo lagoon, natural reserve. This nature reserve is known for a volcano as well as a scenic lake and wildlife. Lake Apoyo draws in a lot of tourists through the year.
Islets of Granada is an exciting place to visit with the Lake Nicaragua that surrounds the islets. The islets comprise of 365 islands.
For a city based place of attraction to visit you can stop by the ChocoMuseo. This museum of chocolates and cocoa beans is a must visit by all.
Mi Museo is another unique museum here that is housed in a 19th century building. Here one can check out the ceramics collection that dates back to ancient times as well.
Sor Maria Romero Birthplace is another place of historic interest to visit while you are in Granada Nicaragua.
There are several other natural reserve areas around the volcanic regions that are worth visiting when you are here.
Charleston is known to be one of the oldest cities of the country, but it is also the largest city of South Carolina. Located in Charleston County by the coastline of the state, it is close to the inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, at the confluence point of the Cooper and Ashley rivers. Founded as Charles Town in 1670, it was a town formed in honor of King Charles II of England. The colonial history and culture is predominant here, even now and that is what makes the culture and life distinct in this city.
For those visiting the city of Charleston for the first time, they will realize that this city has a rich history and has beautiful landmarks and relics in the architecture of centuries back that make it distinct. There are relics of the Civil War that can be seen in its waterfront areas or the Fort Sumter that is a must visit for all newcomers. The city not only has beautiful architecture but also the friendly people and food that are wonderful to explore.
Among the popular places to see and explore here is the waterfront park. It is a popular park that has fountains and walkways and is popular with tourists and locals alike.
You can also head to the Magnolia plantation and gardens that not only has lush grounds to discover and walk about in but also houses a zoo of considerable size with a variety of animals and bird species.
To check out the distinct architecture of the local houses here, you need to visit Rainbow Row. Here you will find iconic Georgian row houses that have been restored and maintained even now.
Patriots Point is a popular tourist destination that is a military museum here with Navy ships and WWII aircraft carriers on display along with old jets and other interesting war replicas.
Boone Hall is an interesting visit which showcases the farmlands that characterize this part of the country. It is a working plantation that has been here since 1681 and still has the original slave cabins and moss draped avenues and historic structures.
Frequent rain storms are rare in most cities of the United States but in Seattle, the climate is known to be gloomy and dark. Contrary to the weather though, Seattleites make a hospital, fun and modern community. One of the largest cities in the country and in Washington, Seattle has a number of tourist sites and attractions for globe trotters to experience. From the mouth-watering, gourmet cuisine to the spectacular view of the Cascade peaks, Seattle has it all!
Things to See in Seattle
Seattle is home to the Space Needle, the most iconic tourist attraction, landmark and observatory of the city. The Space Needle might be a little high end on the budget but we highly recommend visiting it at least once! The observation tower is open every day from 8 AM to midnight.
The Pike Place Market is another tourist hotspot. This huge market is both indoors and outdoors with a variety of goods and souvenirs to take home.
You can also get around the metropolitan city by the several tours offered by private companies. The Argosy Cruises are a popular boat cruise many tourists and Seattleites like to take for a full view of the lakes and the panorama of the city. Other tours that are worth mentioning and checking out include the Public Market Tours, the Hot Air Balloon Tours, the Underground Tour and the Savor Seattle Food Tours.
Museums in Seattle are also very frequently visited. The Seattle Art Museum displays wondrous exhibits of contemporary art from across the globe. The Seattle Asian Art Museum, on the other hand, focuses more on featuring eastern cultures. The Pacific Science Center and the Science Fiction Museum are other prominent names that you can visit for an intellectual experience.

Travelers who are coming to Canada can decide to take this legendary train journey. They would be able to travel between Vancouver and Toronto where they will find the Canadian Rockies, Jasper National Park, check out the Prairie Provinces or the lakes in the northern Ontario region.

This is a national park located in Newfoundland, where one can find the lowlands of the Gulf of St Lawrence as well as the alpine settings of the Long Range Maintains.
This is a rodeo area which was made popular in Wild West shows that were hosted in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The Canadian city hosts different kinds of festivals and carnivals for which many visitors come to this city.
Victoria’s Inner Harbor
This is found on Vancouver Island and has a boat festival held on Labor Day every year. The harbor area here is known for tour boats and kayaking as well.
Bay of Fundy
This is a place located by the Atlantic coast, which has Hopewell Rocks and sandstone towers.
This is a place in the Alberta province that is known for Jasper National Park which forms part of the Rocky Mountain Parks that is located in this country.
If you are touring the major cities of US a visit to New York City is a must. This city is more populous and located at the southern end of New York State. This city has significant impact on many industrial scenes and affairs of the world such as fashion, media and entertainment, technology, research, commerce and so forth. For such reasons it is known to be a media, cultural and financial capital of the world.
The city has one of the largest harbors in the country and is broken into five boroughs such as The Bronx, Staten Island, Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. The city is a hub of different communities of people and is linguistically most diverse. The city signifies cultural diversity, freedom, social tolerance, creativity, entrepreneurship and environmental sustainability.
If you are here as a tourist, you will have an overwhelming list of places to see and things to do. You could start by visiting Central Park, which is an iconic park in this city which has scenic walking areas and offers several recreational activities as well. These are some of the several landmarks to check out in New York City. The retail shopping as well as wining and dining options are many which are a must try for those who wish to get glimpses of the culture and lifestyle of the people living here.
